"RSS" stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way for you to subscribe to "web feeds" that are delivered automatically to your "RSS reader" or "news aggregator" whenever an rss-enabled website is updated.
If you already know about this, click here for a list of feeds for all categories or look for the RSS icons throughout the site at the bottom of the page and click on them. If RSS is available for the category you are viewing, the following image will appear automatically:

Vienna for Mac.
Many web browsers such as Firefox can manage RSS feeds for you.
There are also many web-based news aggregators such as Technorati and Bloglines.
